What happened: A Yahoo Sports fan poll on the Nets' trade sending Nic Claxton and the No. 33 pick to Minnesota for Julius Randle and the No. 28 pick landed on a 'B' grade. Results were nearly an even split between 'A' and 'B' among respondents. Brooklyn converted the No. 28 selection into forward Joshua Jefferson as part of the deal.

Why it matters: The split reflects a divide between fans drawn to Randle's scoring and veteran leadership and those weighing Claxton's exit against the draft capital surrendered. Claxton spent seven seasons as Brooklyn's longest-tenured player before the trade. The deal also reshapes what Egor Demin and Mikel Brown Jr. will have on the floor alongside them next season.

What to watch: Attention turns to how Randle, Jefferson and the incoming rookie class mesh in Brooklyn ahead of the 2026-27 season.
