What happened: The New England Patriots highlighted defender Gonzo as the Patriots visit the Bears on the NFL regular season slate. With the contest in progress at New England Patriots 0, Chicago Bears 0, New England continues to lean on defensive takeaways to set the tone on the national stage.

Why it matters: Consistent secondary disruption gives the New England Patriots a high floor even while receiver injuries test their offensive depth chart. A roster built around turnover creation and disciplined coverage can compete with any opponent on the regular season schedule.
