What happened: Lando Norris issued a public apology to Franco Colapinto after calling for a race ban over the first-lap pile-up at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Norris said the initial criticism went too far and he reached out directly to defuse the fallout.

Why it matters: The incident cost Alpine double points in Baku and put driving standards back in focus ahead of the next round. Colapinto kept Alpine backing after the clash, leaving enforcement as the open question for Sepang.

What to watch: The paddock heads to Sepang for the Malaysian Grand Prix as Round 16.
