What happened: Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu picked up his second personal foul in the opening quarter on Wednesday shortly after Miami Heat forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was whistled for his second with 8:16 remaining in the first period. Both frontcourt players opened the night in the starting lineups in Atlanta.

Why it matters: Two whistles inside the opening four minutes force early rotation adjustments for both coaching staffs. Miami opened with Antetokounmpo alongside Bam Adebayo, Wiggins, Thompson and Mitchell, while Atlanta countered with Okongwu, Jalen Johnson, McCollum, Alexander-Walker and Daniels.

By the numbers: Antetokounmpo committed two fouls in the first 3:44 of game action after recording 36 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists against Detroit on Oct. 24.

What to watch: Both benches will manage frontcourt minutes through the remainder of the first half to keep Okongwu and Antetokounmpo from drawing a third foul before intermission.
