Defense is the best unit in NFL not talked about Via @danorlovsky7 on X

What happened: Dan Orlovsky made the comment during a Pat McAfee Show segment on Jacksonville. He also said the Jaguars are as good as anybody in the AFC and praised Trevor Lawrence's timing.

Why it matters: Jacksonville plays in the regular season of the 2026 NFL season with early AFC positioning at stake. Complementary play from Lawrence would raise the margin for a defense-first path in close games.

By the numbers: Lawrence completed 341 of 560 passes for 4,007 yards with 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions across 17 games in 2025. Jacksonville beat Cincinnati 22-17 on Oct. 5.

What to watch: Watch Jacksonville's next AFC matchup for whether the defense holds down scoring again.
