What happened: Dan Orlovsky said Bryce Young owns the pocket right now. He pointed to Young's fast eyes to windows and a throw to Tetairoa McMillan.

Why it matters: Young, the 2023 No. 1 overall pick from Alabama, completed 304 passes for 3,011 yards with 23 touchdowns in 2025. Sustained pocket efficiency shapes Carolina's franchise evaluation as contract questions linger into 2026.

By the numbers: Young in 2025: 304-of-478 for 3,011 yards, 23 TDs, 11 INTs in 16 games. McMillan in 2025: 70 catches for 1,014 yards, 7 TDs in 17 games.

What to watch: Watch whether Young's pocket timing holds against pressure looks ahead.
