Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers are hard at work! Indiana opens the 2026-27 NBA season against New Orleans on October Via @NBA on X

What happened: Indiana continued training camp Thursday with Tyrese Haliburton on the floor ahead of the 2026-27 opener. The season start will be carried on NBA League Pass.

Why it matters: Haliburton's return after injury absence remains the key variable for Indiana entering the season. His availability shapes how quickly the Pacers can get back to the up-tempo offense they want in place by opening night.

What to watch: The next checkpoints are Haliburton's workload through camp and how close Indiana's rotation looks to settled before preseason games begin. Opening night on Oct. 21 will offer the first live read on how quickly that group is up to speed.
