What happened: Obi Toppin and Larry Nance Jr. have been ruled out for Monday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. Toppin was initially listed as questionable with a lumbar sprain, while Nance was designated as doubtful due to an illness.

Why it matters: The absences further deplete an Indiana rotation already missing multiple key contributors, with Siakam, Nembhard, and Nesmith ruled out against the Hawks earlier in the day. The Pacers enter Monday at 2-5 after dropping a 98-90 decision to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.

By the numbers: Toppin is averaging 15.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in 2026-27 through 5 games, while Nance has recorded 3.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in 2026-27 through 7 games. Indiana is 2-5 through 7 games this season, and Atlanta enters at 3-4 through 7 games.

What to watch: Indiana faces Atlanta on Monday night before continuing its regular-season schedule.
