What happened: The Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams will meet on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving in the first-ever Thanksgiving Eve NFL matchup, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. The game will stream exclusively on Netflix. The full 2026 NFL schedule is set for release Thursday, May 14 at 8pm ET on ESPN and NFL Network.

Why it matters: The matchup extends Netflix's push into live NFL inventory after the streamer locked down Christmas Day games, giving the league a new prime holiday window and Netflix another tentpole event to anchor sports subscriptions. For the Packers and Rams, a standalone national stage in front of a captive holiday-travel audience is the kind of slot usually reserved for marquee divisional rivalries. It also adds another streaming-only game to a 2026 slate that already features nine international matchups.

What to watch: Watch the full NFL schedule release Thursday at 8pm ET for kickoff time, broadcast details and the rest of Green Bay's and Los Angeles's 2026 slates. Early line movement on the game should appear at major sportsbooks within hours of the release.
