What happened: Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers went viral for her humorous protest of a call during Saturday's 84-83 loss to the Portland Fire. Sidelined with a right ankle injury, Bueckers jokingly smashed her glasses across her knee after officials ignored her reasoning from the sideline.

Why it matters: The incident showcased Bueckers' competitive spirit despite being ruled out following a 31-point effort earlier in the week. Her absence was felt as the Wings dropped a close contest to the expansion Fire, highlighting Dallas' reliance on their top draft pick for offensive stability. The playful outburst was a callback to a similar viral moment from her 2025 rookie campaign.

What to watch: The Wings will monitor Bueckers' ankle status ahead of their next matchup as they look to snap a brief slide.
