What happened: Jalen Coker was limited for a second straight day by a quad issue and carries a questionable tag into Sunday night's game against Detroit. Xavier Legette has been ruled out with a knee injury for the second straight game, while guard Damien Lewis is out and Monroe Freeling, Lee Hunter and Cam Jackson are questionable.

Why it matters: The update leaves Carolina thinner at receiver and along the line for a prime-time matchup with Detroit. It also comes with the defense already short-handed after Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson went to injured reserve earlier this week, extending the Panthers' recent injury churn.

By the numbers: Coker has 18 catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns this season. Legette is set to miss a second straight game, and Freeling still needs final concussion clearance.

What to watch: Carolina's inactive list Sunday night will determine whether Coker can play and whether Freeling is cleared in time to start. The Panthers' snap distribution at wide receiver will be the next key detail once the pregame list is set.
