What happened: The designation removes Doubs from the active roster. It follows a 26-19 final.

Why it matters: The move leaves New England short at receiver on the active roster. Depth and rotation at the position will need to adjust while the spot stays filled elsewhere.

What to watch: New England's next transactions will show how it backfills the receiver spot.
