Patriots Tuesday 📴 NOTES: Coaches prep for Jaguars (beat Browns at home, lost to Broncos on road)...WR Jakobi Meyers (

What happened: New England opened Tuesday work on Jacksonville, which beat Cleveland at home and lost at Denver to start 1-1. Former New England receiver Jakobi Meyers posted three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown last week, while former New England linebacker Jahlani Tavai made four tackles.

Why it matters: Meyers gives Jacksonville a familiar passing-game target for New England to account for in coverage. Sixth-round rookie Namdi Obiazor from TCU is tied for second in the NFL with five special-teams tackles, giving New England early production in the kicking game.

By the numbers: Jaguars: 1-1 (win vs Browns at home, loss at Broncos); Meyers: 3 receptions, 68 yards, 1 TD; Tavai: 4 tackles; Obiazor (6th round, TCU): 5 special-teams tackles, tied 2nd in NFL.

What to watch: New England continues practice ahead of the Jacksonville matchup.
