What happened: Patriots team officials announced the midgame injury designation during Sunday's active contest.

Why it matters: A prolonged absence would force New England to adjust its wide receiver rotation for the remainder of the afternoon. The Patriots had preached patience with Doubs earlier this month while integrating him into the passing attack.

What to watch: New England will provide further updates on whether Doubs returns to the field or undergoes postgame evaluation.
