What happened: Coach Sean Payton said Monday morning Nix will remain Denver's starter. The decision follows growing calls for a change at quarterback.

Why it matters: Denver emerged from a six-week stretch against contenders at 4-2. The Broncos own three wins over Super Bowl contenders already. Offensive consistency remains central to holding position in the AFC race.

What to watch: Denver heads into its next home game with Nix still leading the offense. His response will shape the conversation around the position.
