What happened: Pittsburgh traded Filip Hallander to Edmonton for Spencer Stastney, per Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Stastney was described as a defenseman in the move.

Why it matters: Edmonton adds Hallander while Pittsburgh collects a defenseman in Stastney. The swap lets each side rebalance depth at a different position.

What to watch: Watch for the clubs to confirm terms and subsequent roster moves.
