What happened: Michael Penix took a verbal shot at the Saints, saying the dome was the only nice thing he could say about them. The comment surfaced as Atlanta prepares for its next matchup with New Orleans.

Why it matters: The line adds a little extra edge to a Falcons-Saints week that rarely lacks it. It also comes after Penix said his knee is healthy and he expects to be active this week, keeping the quarterback squarely in focus going into the trip.

What to watch: The next development is Atlanta's final status report and whether Penix is active against New Orleans. Any response from the Saints will add to the pregame noise.
