What happened: Alex Pereira vacated the No. 1 light heavyweight ranking. He enters the heavyweight top 10 with his second divisional bout booked, per ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

Why it matters: The shift formalizes his move up a division rather than holding both contenderships. It opens movement at the top of light heavyweight while placing him in the heavyweight title queue.

What to watch: Watch for opponent and date confirmation for the second heavyweight bout and the updated rankings release.
