What happened: On SportsCenter, analyst Kendrick Perkins compared the Oklahoma City Thunder's roster depth to combining the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, arguing the Los Angeles Lakers lack the rotation pieces to keep pace with the defending champions. Perkins delivered the take while breaking down the matchup between the two Western Conference sides.

Why it matters: The commentary lands as the Thunder have already stifled the Lakers in a decisive home victory during the current postseason run, where Oklahoma City has leaned on its bench to wear opponents down. Depth has been a defining trait for a Thunder group that piled up an NBA-best 56 wins in the regular season and rode an 11-game winning streak into the playoffs.

What to watch: Watch how Lakers head coach JJ Redick adjusts his rotation to counter Oklahoma City's bench units, and whether reserves can shave minutes off LeBron James and the Lakers' starters in upcoming games.
