What happened: Pete Alonso advanced as a team honoree for the 2026 Heart & Hustle Award. The final fan vote to determine the overall winner closes Nov. 2.

Why it matters: The league-wide honor pairs on-field play with off-field service and community work. Alonso added a Sporting News 2026 AL All-Star selection in October after a September Roberto Clemente Award nod.

What to watch: The overall winner will be decided after fan voting ends Nov. 2.
