What happened: Pro Football Focus released a ranking of every NFL starting quarterback, placing Dak Prescott 8th. Jayden Daniels landed 12th and Jalen Hurts came in 15th on the same list.

Why it matters: The ordering puts Prescott ahead of both NFC East rivals heading into the 2026 season, a notable placement given how tightly the division projects to be contested. Hurts sitting at 15th despite his recent postseason résumé is the kind of gap that fuels debate about how the metric weighs efficiency versus production, and it echoes recent rankings that placed Prescott just outside the top 10.

What to watch: Watch how the three quarterbacks' 2026 production reshuffles this order, with all three sharing the NFC East slate.
