What happened: Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca said a final decision is still pending on whether Phil Foden will start Saturday's match against Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium. Foden has not played since drawing a red card for kicking out at Bruno Fernandes during a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in September, though he was an unused substitute in a recent 4-2 defeat to PSG.

Why it matters: Getting the England international back into the rotation gives Maresca another attacking option and Before the suspension and international break interrupted his campaign, Foden had shown signs of returning to his best level early in the season.

By the numbers: Foden has recorded two assists across six appearances in all competitions this season prior to serving his three-match domestic suspension.

What to watch: Maresca will finalize his starting eleven ahead of kickoff at the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City hosts Gary O'Neil's Ipswich Town.
