What happened: MLB shared Pirates ace Paul Skenes trying sumo wrestling, an offseason detour from the mound.

Why it matters: Skenes reached 200 strikeouts for the second straight year in September.

What to watch: Pittsburgh's offseason list starts with re-signing Brandon Lowe, adding a bat and adding a lefty.
