What happened: John Collins made an early impact for Detroit. Ebuka Okorie closed late with Ausar Thompson carrying the middle stretch.

Why it matters: Collins is integrating into a retooled Detroit frontcourt. Okorie is competing to turn late-preseason minutes into regular rotation trust.

What to watch: Detroit's frontcourt split and late-game ballhandling assignments are next to sort.
