What happened: The Detroit Pistons secured a 107-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Cade Cunningham led the way with 25 points and 10 assists, including a decisive step-back three-pointer with under two minutes to play to seal the win at home.

Why it matters: This victory marks a massive statement for a Detroit team that has now handled business at home in two consecutive games. Cleveland now faces a must-win Game 3 at home to avoid a 3-0 deficit, a hole no NBA team has ever escaped in playoff history.

What to watch: The series shifts to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland for Game 3 on Saturday, May 9.
