What happened: Nashville assigned defenseman Ryan Ufko to @mkeadmirals in a roster update Saturday. The move takes another skater out of the Predators' preseason group as camp winds down.

Why it matters: The assignment further narrows Nashville's options on the blue line ahead of the 2026-27 season. It also extends a steady round of late-camp cuts after the Predators reduced their training camp roster to 28 players on Sept. 25.

What to watch: Watch for Nashville's next roster moves as the club works toward its opening-night group.
