What happened: Evans worked with Purdy throughout team drills during San Francisco's first camp practice, including an 11-on-11 completion down the left sideline. The session extended their offseason connection into full-team work.

Why it matters: The 6-foot-5 Evans gives Purdy an established outside target for the upcoming season. He reached 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first 11 NFL seasons before that streak ended in 2025.

What to watch: Their workload and timing during preseason games will offer the next measure of how quickly the pairing is developing.
