"Don't make it harder than it needs to be ... just throw it to Davante." Peyton loves the play call for the Rams ‼️ @Om Via @ESPNNFL on X

What happened: The Rams dialed up a look for Davante Adams that drew approval from Peyton for its simplicity. The game is in progress with Tyler Bass at 6 points and Harrison Mevis at 1 point.

Why it matters: The narrow margin keeps Buffalo within striking distance in a low-scoring start. Getting Davante involved gives Los Angeles a defined option on key downs.

By the numbers: Tyler Bass: 6 PTS (game high); Harrison Mevis: 1 PT.

What to watch: The next possessions will show whether Los Angeles can extend the slender edge.
