What happened: Los Angeles placed wide receiver Davante Adams and defensive tackle Poona Ford on injured reserve. Adams had been undergoing hamstring surgery amid a wave of Los Angeles injuries.

Why it matters: At 2-4, Los Angeles faces compressed depth at two positions where starters play heavy snaps. The moves shift targets elsewhere in the receiver room and snaps to the remaining interior rotation.

What to watch: Return-designation decisions and first-team reps this week will show the replacement plan.
