Rams plan to bring all their players to Melbourne, Australia, for their season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, H Via @AdamSchefter on X

What happened: Sean McVay confirmed the travel plan Friday. Los Angeles is scheduled to arrive next Thursday, about 24 hours before kickoff, after San Francisco departed earlier in the week.

Why it matters: The short turnaround leaves Los Angeles little local acclimation time, while San Francisco has nearly a week in Melbourne. The divisional matchup starts both clubs' 2026 schedules.

By the numbers: Kickoff is scheduled for 10:35 a.m. AEST on Friday, Sept. 11, at Melbourne Cricket Ground, corresponding to 5:35 p.m. PT Thursday.

What to watch: McVay's game-day activations will determine which travelers are available against San Francisco.
