What happened: New York Rangers brought Luke Glendening into camp on a professional tryout agreement. He practiced Monday while the club evaluates options for depth at center.

Why it matters: New York Rangers need a fourth-line center with Joe Veleno sidelined. Glendening brings faceoff and penalty-kill experience suited to that role.

What to watch: The coming practices determine whether New York Rangers retain him past the tryout.
