What happened: The Baltimore Ravens chose Penn State guard Olaivavega 'Vega' Ioane with the 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The 6-5, 330-pound lineman was widely projected to go in the mid-teens. Selection fulfills expectations for Ravens to target offensive line help early.

Why it matters: Ravens allowed 42 sacks in 2025 season, threatening Lamar Jackson's protection and playoff run. Ioane's nasty style strengthens run blocking and pass pro for contending AFC North team.

By the numbers: {"Pre-draft ":{"Ravens OL at #14":" "},"Ioane draft pos (under)","Ravens 2025 record":"11-6, AFC North 1st","Sacks allowed 2025":"42 (27th in NFL)"}

What to watch: Monitor Ravens' Round 2 pick at No. 47 and Ioane's rookie contract details.
