What happened: The Sept. 13 North Plaza watch party will carry both the Ravens game and the Orioles-Blue Jays game. Local artists are also scheduled, and attendees receive a Ravens-branded crab mallet.

Why it matters: The gathering gives Baltimore fans a stadium venue while the team starts its season on the road at Indianapolis. It also puts the renovated North Plaza into service for regular-season programming.
