What happened: The agreement comes six months into his rookie season after his initial contract was executed in January. Solans made his MLS debut on Feb. 21 after arriving through the 2025 MLS SuperDraft.

Why it matters: The new term gives RSL long-range control of its leading scorer. It also rewards a 22-year-old who has already reset the club's rookie scoring record.

By the numbers: Solans has 13 goals across all competitions: nine in MLS, two in Leagues Cup and two in a friendly. His nine league goals surpassed the previous RSL rookie record of eight with 14 regular-season matches remaining.

What to watch: Solans enters Tuesday's Leagues Cup quarterfinal on a four-game scoring run. Another goal would match the club record for consecutive scoring appearances.
