What happened: The Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings each lost their opening game of the regular season by 25 points. The Golden State Warriors dropped their debut by 22 points and the Utah Jazz fell by 20 to round out the six-team group.

Why it matters: Never before in NBA history had six different franchises lost their season openers by 20 or more points in the same campaign. The lopsided results immediately place the Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and Utah Jazz in an early point-differential hole to begin the regular season.

What to watch: All six clubs now turn to their next regular-season matchups seeking their first win of the campaign.
