Sources: Red Bull New York rejected a bid from a Danish club on loan with an option to buy for forward Roald Mitchell. Via @tombogert on X

What happened: The proposal called for a loan with an option to buy, per Tom Bogert. Mitchell has excelled with the second team while receiving limited first-team opportunities.

Why it matters: Mitchell is under contract through 2026, with club options for 2027 and 2028. His limited senior minutes leave his role in focus as the regular season continues.

By the numbers: Mitchell has made three MLS appearances totaling 27 minutes in 2026. He has four goals and one assist in seven MLS NEXT Pro appearances across 457 minutes.

What to watch: Watch for a revised offer and whether Mitchell receives more first-team minutes.
