What happened: JJ Redick set higher marks in paint touches, offensive rebounds and 3-point volume entering camp. Los Angeles is expanding its early offense beyond drag actions, with Austin Reaves addressing the shift Thursday.

Why it matters: More paint touches collapse defenses and create kick-out 3s. More offensive rebounds extend possessions through an 82-game grind.

What to watch: Watch whether the expanded early offense appears in preseason sets.
