What happened: Stade Rennais have officially confirmed the signing of Senegalese winger Issa Soumaré on a four-year contract through June 2030. The 25-year-old joins as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Le Havre AC, marking Rennes' first addition of the summer transfer window.

Why it matters: The move reinforces a Rennes squad that secured a return to European football by finishing 6th in Ligue 1 last season. Soumaré's arrival on a free transfer provides low-risk offensive depth as the club prepares for its 2026-27 UEFA Europa League campaign.

What to watch: Soumaré is expected to join pre-season training in July as Rennes look to finalize further defensive reinforcements before their European campaign begins.
