What happened: Greig delivered a reverse hit on DeBrincat with seconds left in the middle frame. Larkin confronted Greig after the contact. Both lines engaged after the initial exchange briefly settled.

Why it matters: The exchange came in a 2026-27 preseason game. Multi-player altercations at intermission can affect third-period matchups and postgame discipline review.

What to watch: The third period will show any carryover penalties or shifted matchups. Any postgame update will clarify discipline or availability.
