What happened: Former NFL head coach Rex Ryan pushed back on Ashton Jeanty after the running back stated that the New York Jets have players who do not want to tackle. Responding on television coverage, Ryan called Jeanty "about the worst draft pick in the last 20 years" at the position.

Why it matters: The exchange focuses attention on New York's tackling directly ahead of kickoff. Jeanty's comments openly questioned the defense's willingness to make contact, while Ryan's sharp rebuttal came in defense of his former franchise.

What to watch: Las Vegas and New York are scheduled to kick off Sunday at 1:00 PM ET.
