What happened: Robert Griffin III said Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball look like they were meant to play together. His comments came days after Ball joined the Timberwolves before the season opener at Miami.

Why it matters: The two entered the season as the league's most debated backcourt, and their early production has backed up the optimists. Perkins has already picked Edwards as his MVP for this season, so the pairing's fit carries extra weight.

What to watch: The next test is whether that production holds once opponents start game-planning for the pairing.
