What happened: Dave Roberts weighed what he had seen from Tarik Skubal and from Ohtani's first two at-bats during the Dodgers' live postseason game. Los Angeles held a 2-0 lead while Roberts addressed both developments.

Why it matters: Skubal and Ohtani sit near the center of the Dodgers' postseason equation, so even an early read on either draws immediate attention. With the game still in progress, those initial evaluations help shape how the rest of the night is viewed.

What to watch: Watch for Roberts' next in-game decisions as Los Angeles tries to protect the early edge. Ohtani's next plate appearance and Skubal's continued work will stay in focus.
