What happened: Houston landed in Macao for the two-game NBA China Games slate opening Oct. 9. The Mavericks are the opponent for the Oct. 9 and Oct. 11 dates, with both games on NBA TV.

Why it matters: The set is a preseason tune-up ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The Macao dates put rotation auditions on a neutral, international stage.

What to watch: Houston opens the set Oct. 9 before the rematch Oct. 11.
