What happened: The New Orleans Saints activated linebacker Jaylan Ford and cornerback Lorenzo Styles from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. The team also elevated tackle Easton Kilty and wide receiver Cedric Tillman from the practice squad while waiving Kevin Austin Jr. and Decamerion Richardson.

Why it matters: The return of Ford and Styles provides immediate depth for a defense managing multiple rotational spots. Meanwhile, the late addition of defensive lineman Nathan Shepherd to the injury report introduces a potential complication along the defensive front.

What to watch: The Saints will finalize their active game-day roster prior to Sunday's kickoff.
