What happened: The New Orleans Saints activated long snapper Zach Wood on Saturday. The move comes after the 10th-year SMU product returned to the practice field on Wednesday.

Why it matters: Wood's return restores veteran continuity to the Saints' special teams unit as 1-4 New Orleans prepares for Sunday's road matchup against the New York Giants.

What to watch: Wood is slated to handle snapping duties Sunday at the Giants, while New Orleans monitors the statuses of Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave, both listed as questionable.
