What happened: New Orleans resumes regular-season operations on Oct. 28 following the Week 6 activation of long snapper Zach Wood and two late-October roster additions. The club added wide receiver Cedric Tillman and offensive tackle Easton Kilty on Oct. 24 to reinforce depth.

Why it matters: A one-game skid leaves the franchise at the No. 13 seed as the NFL trade deadline approaches. Earlier Saints roster moves and pass-rusher Chase Young emerging as a trade candidate give the front office key personnel decisions before November.

By the numbers: New Orleans holds a 2-5 mark (seed 13, streak L1) after finishing with 10 points against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Defensive end Chase Young totaled 14 sacks across a 17-game span entering mid-October, tying for third in the league.

What to watch: Practice participation and gameday elevations later this week will determine the active lineup for the upcoming weekend slate.
