What happened: Kaden Elliss (calf), Carl Granderson (ankle) and Anfernee Jennings (knee) were ruled out after missing Saturday's practice. Pete Werner (shoulder) also did not practice and remained questionable. Julian Blackmon, Barion Brown, Christen Miller, Martin Emerson Jr. and Davon Godchaux practiced fully and were cleared from the injury report, while Nathan Shepherd, Treyton Welch and Jayden Price were not listed despite limited or missed work.

Why it matters: The absences hit New Orleans hardest in the front seven, taking two edge defenders and a linebacker out of the Week 4 plan. Werner's status leaves another linebacker spot unsettled, even as the cleared players give the Saints some relief elsewhere on defense.

By the numbers: Granderson posted 57 tackles, 6 sacks and 1 interception in 17 games for the Saints in 2025. Jennings added 26 tackles and 2 sacks in 14 games last season, leaving New Orleans without 8 combined sacks from those two edge defenders alone.

What to watch: Werner is the last major question mark from Saturday's report. The game-day inactive list will show how New Orleans replaces the snaps left by Elliss, Granderson and Jennings.
