What happened: The New Orleans Saints selected wide receiver Bryce Lance from North Dakota State with the No. 136 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Lance is the brother of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance. The pick was announced during coverage on NFL Network, ESPN and ABC.

Why it matters: This fifth-round addition bolsters the Saints' wide receiver depth after earlier selections like WR Jordyn Tyson and a trade-up into the top 10. The familial tie to Trey Lance adds an intriguing storyline for the upcoming 2026 season. Late-round gems like this often provide long-term value for rebuilding teams.
