What happened: The New Orleans Saints will induct Drew Brees into the franchise's Ring of Honor at the Superdome on Oct. 11. The organization previously announced the event date in August.

Why it matters: The ceremony provides the home crowd an opportunity to formally celebrate the quarterback following his enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Brees guided the franchise to a Super Bowl XLIV championship and holds numerous team records.
