"He would be proud, but the work is not done." Get to know Saints rookie TJ Hall! https://t.co/jpVuMPso8o Via @Saints on X

What happened: Hall arrived in New Orleans after playing 42 games with 18 starts at Iowa. “He would be proud, but the work is not done,” Hall said while discussing the outlook driving his first NFL preseason.

Why it matters: The seventh-round pick is competing to provide secondary depth and special-teams value. His remaining preseason work could influence the Saints’ roster decisions.

By the numbers: Hall recorded 75 tackles, two interceptions and 12 pass breakups in four college seasons. He produced 47 tackles, one interception and a Big Ten-leading 10 pass breakups in 2025.

What to watch: Hall’s final preseason opportunities and special-teams assignments will offer the next measure of his roster case.
